why wont he eat?

so lately by 7 month or so beardie decided that he doesn't like food anymore. He started out just eating less than normal, like he went from twelve large crickets a day to like maybe six, then to eating as little as three a day, and now he has only eaten 3 this whole weekend and only one dubia. sometimes he'll eat normal and act like he's starving and i'll think he's fine but the next day he'll be back to not eating. some days he even seems afraid of the food. He'll back away from it and when i try to hand feed it he'll either back away or turn his head. its starting to make me worry.

and i know that a full setup description is procedure around here so here's all my details:

LIGHTING- for my basking light i'm using an exoterra sunglo, 75 watts(i think, its funny i cant tell and everyone in my family is an electrition :roll: )
for my uvb im using a zilla slimline t5 desert 50, 18 inch. I'm not sure how good this bulb is, i got as part of a set in a member package at a
reptile store, i researched it and it seemed alright, but im no expert.

VIV- he's in a 40 gallon breeder at the moment
his substrate is reptisand, but i dont feed him in his tank so its not as bad. but im looking into switching to tile when i find some i like
he has a basking platform i built for him and there's plenty or room for him to hide underneath for protection.

TEMPS+HUMID- his basking temperature is 105, mid range is 93 and cool is 80-85.
humidity is at 30% top. usually around twenty.
I measure both of these with an acurite probe thermometer.

There are days when my beardie doesn't eat, and I have no idea why! Sometimes he gets like that when he is ready to shed. Last time he didn't eat for a few days, he had to put on meds from the vet.

he looks like he might be shedding, maybe in a while it'll get better. hopefully he's not sick

mine get so grumpy when they shed...refuse to eat for a few days, especially when they are shedding their head!

If you notice a really smelly poop, you might want a fecal check done at the vets office.
