Why is my beardies tail grey-ish?

Hi there, I was wondering why my beardies tail is greyish the closer you get to the tip? He’s 9 months and had only been grey-ish for about 1 month or less.
I’ve researched and don’t think it’s tail rot but can’t be sure, could anyone help?

Unless there was an injury to the tail, tail rot is basically an impossibility :) So don't worry about that.

They can darken the tips of their tails for a multitude of reasons, just like they can darken the rest of their bodies.

Some seem to sport the darker tip almost constantly.

One of mine, Moro, does mainly when she is alert, exploring, and slightly on edge.

Thankyou for replying:) Ahh I see, mines tail is always abit grey, but you is like yours, in a gradient almost. Thankyou for calming my mind, I was worried for a second ? this is what his tail looks like.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
