Why did she do this when I took her outside?

I live in NC and the temps here are around 96 and also humid so I took rexi outside for a few minutes the other day.....after being out there less that 5mins she turned black all over(head, tail, back, and belly)......was this not ok to take her out?

I brought her back in and put her in her cage, sprayed her with a mist of water all over and she turned her pretty orange!

Me and my boyfriend watch the National Geography Show all the time and we have seen bearded dragons where there out in the desert and they are black all over, my bf told me to come down that prolly just what they do...and thats all she did

Mine will do that too, Maybe they turn black to absorb the natural sunlight.

Its normal and nothing to worry about. The theory is that its either to absorb heat or UVB

Yeah my beardie Charlie does this too. I heard somewhere that black attracts heat and white reflects so they probably turn darker to absorb more heat.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
