Why are my eggs dying?

I have 17 eggs. After they were laid, they all had embryos that were at the top of the egg. They are being incubated at 83 degrees. There is adequate humidity in the incubator. After a couple of days, one had no embryo, and then another. There are now 3 eggs without any veins or an embryo. It has been 10 days since they were laid. Can anyone tell me what is happening and why?

Hi there....how are you candling them ? Can you post pics ? They may have been infertile.....sometimes even inferts will ave a small spot that looks like something. If they are fertile they will definitely develop a network of veins.

The ones that don't develop veins are not fertile then....they don't go from being fertile to being infertile. If they still look plump it won't hurt to give it more time to see if anything changes, but it's most likely that you have a few inferts in the clutch. If they are they will not grow in size either, they'll stay pretty much the same size or will eventually collapse + possibly get moldy.
