So, as some of you know I rescued and rehabbed a bearded dragon, Steve, last summer. Well now I might be rescuing 2 more. My best friend texted me saying our other friend has a friend (sounds like those long drawn out stories like the friend of a cousin of his mom etc tbh) has 2 dragons she's looking to rehome.

They're on sand, eating pellets, and are two full grown dragons in the same tank. Said tank has nothing in it but sand and dishes and is very small. There is no uvb light I saw in the pic, and it looks like the lamp from those "set up" dragon kits pet stores sell so probably no uvb.

The girl doesn't seem to want to give me them but I asked my friend to try to convince her. So yeah, I can't leave them when they need help so if all goes well I might have 3 lizards and will be scrambling to buy lights for them asap. How will I ever find homes for them all? Who knows. But I'll care for them until I find them homes if I manage to get them.

Ill never regret helping an animal in need but: why am I like this. I can't abandon them. This is a wonderful curse that will make me have a room full of rescued lizards. I'm going to end up as a lizard rescue at this rate.

I know how that feels. It's the right thing not to turn your back on them. Things will work out in the end.

Hello,

It's impossible to turn your back on them, when they are in need. So few people want to take them in & so many lose interest in them & don't care for them properly or spend any time with them anymore.
I hope it all works out.

I can't understand how anyone can lose interest in a pet, but a beardie? They're so sweet and cute! Do you think it's because they are lazy ad not constantly in-your-face-entertaining like dogs?

I'll be sure to post something if I do manage to get them, we'll have to see!

And probably! They might be lazy pancakes but they're adorable and I don't get how they could want to get rid of them. Something about they got a dog so no longer are keeping them? I don't even know. Those things don't correlate with each other at all.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
