Who takes their beardie to shows?

I'm considering taking Oola to an upcoming ReptiCon because she's so mellow and I think it would be a fun outing. Plus having her there would help me resist the urge to bring home any more animals!

I'm curious to know how many of you non-vendors take a beardie with you to the reptile expos? And have you had any negative experiences doing that?

I've taken Yaddle to a show with me and had a great time, everyone loved her. I will definitely take her to more! I got to show her off to the breeder that we got her from. They were glad to see her and glad to see that she is doing great. I got a neat pic of her with an albino gator too :mrgreen:

After that we went to a comic book store!

i would take franklin to a show but everyone hates this armpit of the country, North Idaho, and no one ever has any reptile shows anywhere near me

Yes, that is a good idea to do. Down here anything that is put on by Repticon, like Crittercon, will let you bring your own pets. But we went to the F.I.R.Expo both times and you can't bring your own pets.

I had to pop in and say that Yaddle is gorgeous! She is such a beautiful dragon..... and that's a great photo!

Last summer and early fall when the weather allowed, we would take Moya and Talon with us often, always with their shirt harness leashes on for safety! We took them on just random rides, to run errands, to do drive thru banking, to yard sales and flea markets, to pet shops, to parks and playgrounds with my grandchildren, {where we're the cool grandparents with the dragons :lol: } to my adult son's softball games, my grands little league games.....lots of places to take them. I have a dragon travel bag that goes along too. It has a bottle of spring water and med droppers to drink from, baby wipes, shopping bags for waste and hand sanitizer, extra blankies, hand warmers a few other misc. things and I take along an extra shirt for both my husband and myself, just in case. :lol: It will be interesting this summer as we now have 4 dragons to take along.
I would love it if there were a reptile show near me, I'd take them to it!
