Ok, this was the grossest thing I've seen in a looooong time. I was getting crickets into the tube to feed Roy. I added the calcium powder to the tube of crickets and just shook them a little like usual. As I dumped some into his tank to eat....I noticed some little white worms fell in too! There was also a brownish "egg case" that one was crawling out of! I really don't know what it was! has anyone had this kind of experience??? Worms were maybe 2-3 mm and gross!! After almost having tears, because worms like that scare me to death, I got them out so Roy wouldn't eat them since I don't know what they are! Hope someone knows and can advise!

If you left fruit (apples, oranges, etc.) in your Kricket Keeper as a gutload, they are likely fruit fly larva.

The previous poster is right, the highest likelihood is fruit fly larvae, which is completely harmless and perfectly fine for beardies to eat. Better ventilation is needed in whatever you keep your crickets in. Too much moisture and left fruit attract these guys. Think of it as a bug you cultured yourself. Expect to see some fruit fly adults around, though. If you're scared of some larvae, I'm surprised you even have crickets, haha. I've found much more exciting surprise cultures. Wait until you start getting dermestids. They're nice little hairy black wrigglers as larvae, and grow into little beetles nearing the size of a mealworm beetle. They feed off of dead carcasses in your insect cultures, and can be found or introduced into anything from crickets to worms to roaches. They're quite useful, though. If you culture your own bugs, they're also a great feeder.

You have a lizard. It's kind of silly to be freaked out by bugs.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
