My bearded dragon, Tontos front feet, toes, and about halfway up his leg is ghost white and appears to be swollen. Ive noticed this happen when he has started too shed in the past but not with as much swelling as he has right now. he is acting normal eating fine and it doesn't seem to bother him when I touch it. I'm just scared of mbd or retained shed. don't know if whaatss going on with him is even a symptom of either? Does anyoneee know what thisss could possibly be? I consider him my baby and want to see if this is something to worry about.. their are no reptile vets anywhere close to my location . my boyfriend got him for me an the kids but was his primary caretaker before he went. to jail so since then I have. educated myself as well as I could on caring for beardies. my. boyfriend gavee him kalle everyday wich just recently I found out was very high. in vit a and shoudd be given. a bit more sparingly and I give hiim a variety of greensnow that I know they sshouldnt have the same thing everyday. my baby is very well taken care of I love him to death so any insight would be appriciated :D (sorry about my typing, I'm on a tablet lol)

How could I post a pic from mobile? If I can't,the best way to describe it would be his feet look like blown up rubber gloves if that helps ?

Hi Brandi....sometimes when the leg is about to shed it has the appearance of being swollen but it's just a combination of the skin getting ready to come off plus the color drawing your attention and in part it's almost an optical illusion.

See I was thinking I'm just paranoid but better be safe than sorry. I'm praying it's just the start of his shed! Because he is being his normal self lol.

Do you have a smartphone? I put my photos in here from my iPhone. Just download the photobucket app and then load pictures on there. And then click on the photo from the app and click the img code. Post the img code on here.

Aw Thanks for asking he's definitely ready to she'd. He's starting to be less active with he does before he sheds just more grumpy than usual

That's good! They do tendrils get grumpy and less active around the time they are shedding. Why? I think it's because they enjoy giving us heart attacks.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
