White spots on tail (pictures)

Morning. I have a three year old bearded dragon he has had a small black spot on his tail for about two years, and I never thought anything of it because he was never sick or showed symptoms of anything serious. This morning I woke up and found the area around the black spot looking like this:

Anyone know what it is? He just bathed and pooped, he eats whenever I feed him, and he is active (not lazy in the least bit).

Well, it does look like a little area of shed, possibly. I don't think it is anything serious.
