White sac in stool?

Good mornin', Beardie lovers!

I woke up this morning and found a white sac in my Beardies stool. Is this normal? Can anyone tell me what it is? The sac was about the size of a quarter, and was soft.

I just rescued her on Friday, so I don't have much experience with them. She's been a little stressed this week, I've changed her viv a lot, and I just put her on tile last night. She was clawing at the tile repeatedly.

That sounds like you need to make her a lay box asap. She may have unfertilized eggs that she needs to lay. Just do a search for lay box on here and you should find lots of threads. Basically, you need play stand that's warmed and has been mixed with some water so she can dig a tunnel. Good luck!

I agree with Yavanna....if you could post a pic, it would help. There is also great info on care of your female if/when she lays in the breeding forum in a sticky at the top of the page.

I will get a picture when I get home this afternoon. I froze it so I can take it to the vet and get a fecal exam done on her (I was going to do it on this stool, anway.) It was a pretty small sac. Can someone post a picture of what a Beardie egg looks like so I can see it?

Nevermind. I just googled it. It didn't look like an egg. Do they push these out before laying or something?

If you Google bearded dragon laying eggs, you'll see pics. You can also google b.dragon infertile eggs [ or do search here ] What she may have passed is possibly just a large white urate, that's the white part of the poo.

the white sac is the urates. (pee)

it should be soft, if it is hard your beardie needs to be hydrated ASAP

but it is normal, it would be a problem if there was no white sac with the poop.
