Which size of crickets to feed?

First of all, I'm not a noob. I've had an account before but I didn't go on for a while and forgot the password and username...so, I made a new one.
I also have not given my beardie crickets for about 6 months now due to the FREEZING weather here in Illinois and the crickets would not ship and they are expensive at petsmart and i feel bad about going in there and buying from them and seeing the beardies and all and I'm not going to get started with that... OK
So I'm wondering what size I should feed my adult sized bearded dragon Rocky who is 3 years old. He's pretty averaged sized (about 23-24 inches tip of nose to tip of tail, the tail being about 13-14 inches long).

What sized crickets should I chose for Rocky? I'm buying from lllreptile.com and I'm trying to decide between .50" crickets and .75" crickets or possibly 1"???

I forgot.
Should I get 500 for $24.99 or 1,000 for $25.99?
I've goten 1,000 before and are really hard to care for and most of them die. So I'm thinking 500 even though it's not as good as a deal but in the end it may be a deal? Let me know what you think.

Use the next size smaller than adult. Adults have more shell after there last molt so you want the next size down, although for the size your beardie is it could easily down adults with no problem. 500 is usually best. 1000 becomes a hand full for me sometimes.

So you think .75" and 500? That's what I was thinking but I just wanted to make sure.

Yea thats perfect. Those are pretty big and a good size for your beardie.
