Which room is your beardie in?

I am curious to know where everyone keeps their beardies in the house. I've always kept Oola in the den. When I took her to my parents' for Christmas she had to stay alone in the office and she hated it. I could tell she wanted to be near the activity in the house.

I am getting ready to move and really, there aren't many options for where to put her viv. One is the office (where I never am), another is the living room (where I spend a lot of time, but I watch late night TV and don't want to disturb her). Where do you all keep your beardies, and how does it work out or you?

Mine is in the living room, right beside the TV.. It works out fine, I don't think the sound bothers him (unless we turn up the bass and make it really loud). After he goes to sleep I try to have low lighting in the room. If you have a cave that your beardie can hide in at night, it will help. I don't, but I'm planning to make a better hiding place for mine.

I have mine in the living room as well right next to the tv. He doesn't seem to mind. I keep the tv volume low and turn most of the lights off or at least dim them.

My beardie's viv is in my bedroom. I try not to turn on the lights in my room once his lights go off, and if I do turn them on, I try to turn them off quickly because he'll open his eyes and glare at me :lol: Noise doesn't seem to bother him, though.

You could always drape a towel or blanket over the viv to block the light. A good cave/hiding spot where she could hide her head would help with that as well. As long as you don't have the lights on too bright, and you don't have the tv up really loud, she should get used to it quickly and be fine.

I keep mine in my room right next to my bed. I make sure I have everything ready for the night before his lights go out so I don't have to disturb him by turning the lights on and looking for them when he's sleeping also it would be dark anyway when I go to sleep.

I have the viv set up in my office as that's where I am most frequently. Unless I have music going or I'm gaming is very quiet in there with only myself getting up to do things. That and while I'm in there I can keep an eye on him.

I have mine in my basement where i live. TV/home theater system with computer 5.1 speakers for that and my bed. When his lights go out i make sure to keep the noise down and dim the lights. I also cover his tank at least half way with a towel for extra warmth/peace and quit.

Thank you all for your answers! It seems that being in the same room with a TV has not been much of an issue for many of you. I think I'll put her in the living room because that's definitely where the activity is.

Mine is in the living room on a stand next to the TV. He likes it because when I'm not home my Mom is usually in the living room with him. And it's great because when his lights go out by that time our fireplace is always blazing so he likes to bask on the floor by the fireplace!

In the kitchen...lol. I have young children who I know would either burn themselves on the lights or drive Charlie mad if they could get to the viv, so she is in the kitchen, which is gated off from my monsters.

In my computer room, now the computer/lizard room. Someone is usually in there.

mine is in my bedroom, along with my leopard gecko (vinnie), 30 gallon fish tank, rat (dylan) and 2 gerbils (smokey and bandit)

My boy is in the living room, He does not seem to be bothered by the light that is on or the TV. though he is across the room from my light. tried him in my computer room but he stayed stressed out.
