I've been using the search function on here for several days, as well as reading all the stickies on proper lighting, and I am still left scratching my head on which MVB causes the least amount of problems, and gives off the proper amount of UVB. I was going to go with the PowerSun UV initially, until reading that it's been linked to eye problems.
Israel currently has a 24" ReptiSUN 10.0 bulb, only 2 months of use, on his enclosure, about 8 inches or so from him. However, I don't feel he's getting proper amounts of UV for some reason, as he's constantly got a darkened color and not as active as I feel he should be. Yet, when I take him outdoors for natural sunlight, his entire mood and coloration changes dramatically, which tells me something isn't right inside with his UVB light.
So, I've ben looking into putting a MVB in his enclosure, to see if that would help improve things, but I'm not sure exactly which one is the best choice to use. Any suggestions for one that's been shown to not cause health problems, and works well?
