This just popped into my head and so i thought i would ask even thou i have yet to find anything in the search that gives me a modest answer... So here it goes... My female Trixie (sex proven by vet) is highly aggressive towards my male who is the least bit interested in breeding right now do to shedding and preparing for brumation... However isnt showing no aggression towards my other female at all... I noticed this today when i took them outside to the huge round stock tank (24"H x 8' Dia sectioned off into 4 sections via plexi-glass dividers) for some sunshine before it clouded up... she bolts at the divider or where ever Munchie is but doesnt do it towards lil momma and i can actually say i know it is a female by this pic when i did the nap pinch and then petter her and she raised her rump when i touched her tail...

Also why would she be acting so dominate towards Munchie but not Lil Momma? Do i have a Lesbian Beardie or something? Also which sex is usually the more Alpha?

Usually, the male will dominate, but there are also lots of dominant females out there. I have seen plenty of pictures with the female laying on top of the male (which is a sign of dominance).

Both sexs are very dominant.

Bearded dragons in general are territorial and do not like when another dragon is around.

ChiefsDaddy,

I always thought that the males were always the most dominate but its just odd that she dislikes the site of the male but is fine with the other female around her... She does everything from ram the walls, lunges, and doesnt bite hard but grabs his tail about 2 inches from the vent area but lets go as if like to say hey im here cuz she could care less about her right now...

Brandon,

I know that they are solitary animals by nature and have only housed a couple together in the same cage under reasonable circumstances mainly being sister hatchlings... Like right now Mizz Houdini & Citron my two juvie sisters, they wont eat & sulk which they never do cuz they always eat good and never climb on top each other in the basking spot or anything dominating... at night they curl up side by side... I know many people would argue me keeping the two small ones together but i would rather them be together and have thier appetites than be seperated and possibly losing one to not eating...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
