which brand of calcium to use?

Until last December, I used Zoo-Med Repti Calcium with D3, and it seems everything was ok. Then I switched to MVB when my reptisun was over 6 months old (and got a new viv). I got the calcium powder without D3 by exoterra since then (the local pet store carries mostly Hagen products...). And since then, Balrog has had hard urates. I went to the vet two months ago, and she said to try puree food and more baths to increase hydration incase she was dehydrated (Balrog had no other dehydration symptoms). We did all that, Balrog still has hard urates. Is it possible the calcium brand has an effect? I read somewhere on this board that brands do matter.

Anyway, I will try to get a vet appointment next week.

I use Repcal calcium with d3 and Repcal multivitamin powders. Haven't had any problems. I believe hard urates sometimes has to do with the AMOUNT of calcium given rather than the brand. Try using less calcium powder and see if it helps.
