Where to place temp probe?

Hey guys I am wondering where to place the temp probe? The temps were 103 earlier and I moved temp and now it says 93-94. Where is the ideal place where he can bask and won't be entangled in the probe wire, and to get accurate temps.

the probes end needs to be right on the basking spot, you can always tape it down to your rock platform.
