Where to get egg cartons??

They are SO expensive online for just being what they are, what thousands of people throw away every day :roll: I've tried my walmart, and local grocery store. I have everything I need to build my roach setup, except egg crates >.<

Is there anything else I can use? What about cardboard drink holders stacked vertically back to back? Paper towel rolls? What can I use until I can afford these insanely expensive egg crates?

Does anyone know a place that sells them? I even called Michaels Arts n crafts to see if they had them and no

Have you tried asking at a restaraunt?

I don't know about roaches but my crickets are doing ok with whatever boxes/tubes that I can find around the house. If you use tissues/klenex be sure that they aren't the scented ones though. Mostly we have cereal type boxes. I just made some resuable PVP pipe cut into lengths for the crickets, I'll have to wait a while to see how work in the long term.

I use papertowel tubes and toilet tissue tubes. They work great for me!

Like Lightheart said - ask at a local restaurant that you know serves a lot of breakfasts.

I asked nicely at a local greasy spoon and the manager gave me 20 flats for free.
