Where does your beardie sleep?

Hi guys,

I've gone for the "naturalistic" look in my Brock's cage, and he has always slept on top of his highest rock, seemingly very comfortable. He snuggles into his sleeping spot for the night & stretches all his arms and legs out behind him. Lately, when I take him out in the later evening (just a few mins when I work late..) he has found a cozy little corner of my bed/sweatshirt/lap and buried himself in it, and started to go to sleep. I feel like I should be offering him something more cushy! Has anyone fashioned anything for a beardie-bed? He is going to have a hammock in the new enclosure that the man is building as we speak.. I know a lot of birds who love them. I bet a BD would love to sleep in one!

hey i've never seen a bird bunker before ! But boy i bet a beardie would love it ! But as far as my baby's bed... ehh.. i'm her bed. She climbs up to me after roaming around the house all day ignoring me (i get on her nerves alot due to wanting affection).... she'll climb up to my tummy, wiggle her butt, find a spot and falls asleep. BUT in order for her to fall asleep i have to put my hand over her and gently pet her. The minute I stop she'll wake up! ITs the cutes thing !!

I've tried the bed but too afraid i might crush her. Shes only 6 in long so i figured i'd wait till she gets a lil older

if you go to the for sale section and look for beardie blankets i think thats what its called she makes blankets and beds for bearded dragons i ordered three she can even put his/her name on it pretty cheap too just scroll thru the for sales.

Our male likes to sleep in his water at night. never fails, lights go out he runs to his water and is still there in the morning. Our female likes to stand up against the glass and sleep

my bigger guy i named him Mr. Blonde likes to sleep standing up against the glass too i saw apenitas my smaller guy slepping like a backwards L

Mine sleeps at the tops of the hanging plants (I can go into his room like 5-10 mins before 8 and he seems to know that its time to go to bed because he will all ready be there and like someone else said in the morning he is in the exact same spot) I shouldn't say always though because I would say maybe once or twice I have found in different spots sleeping but for the most part on top of the plants. I'm working at holding him more though but last night when I had him on the bed he was trying to run a little so I put him up quick.

are those fake plants? does he try to eat them?

Yes they are fake plants and one leave has a hole in it so I think when he first got introduced to them he did but that it only a guess though never see him interested in them now besides to sleep

i want to put him some fake plants too but im afraid theyll confuse em for food i dont want them yo get impacted since its plastic

Like I said only 1 leave has a hole in it. Here is a picutre of my old set up so you can see how I have the leaves but I moved the basking spot from the center to the left side.

hey i cant find this anywhere =( ! I even looked up bearded dragon, bearded dragon blanket, reptile blanket, etc ...
I really want one !!! lol

alot of our beardies love to sleep on the screen door, soon as lights go out they run up there and sleep. one of my new baby gals sleeps wherever i put her tho, she may or may not be a bit spoiled. easily the tamest dragon ive handled, since the day we got her shes been calm and loves to be held. only 9 weeks old so i know ill have plenty of time to put that statement to the test :lol: every night i take her out of the cage and she immediately gets comfy on my hand and does the sleepytime shuffle, then goes to sleep. i put her in her cage in the corner where her blankie is, cover her up and thats where she stays. one of our other baby gals likes to sleep on top or in the vines of a hanging plant as well. the others just kinda sleep wherever theyre at when the lights out. Florida (our first dragon) used to love to sleep in my beard when he was smaller, id take him out at night and hed make a mad dash towards my face (that took some gettin used to) then hed just burrow his way through my beard til he was all the way in and snooze
