Where did you guys find big basking logs?

My little Nugget is still small so he's in a 20G until he's big enough to move into his GIANT new 82G custom enclosure I built him. I've been looking around and have no idea where to find those big/long beautiful basking logs I've been seeing in peoples' enclosures! Any suggestions?!?

Got mine outside from a tree we cut down over summer. If you do the same just clean it in a hot water, soap, and a splash of bleach.

Dundee's new log is driftwood I found on a beach. I rinsed it really well with warm water and then baked at at about 250 for 30-40min to clean it up. I've also seen nice driftwood for sale at a good reptile store (in St Paul) so I assume a good pet store would have something similar.

Online pet and aquarium stores, even ebay have branches and cork slabs.

I can't swallow the price the nice wood has though. I got all mine from outside like the previous posts.

There are some decent sized ones at Petco that are over priced so I think I'm gonna try to find some outside and sanitize and clean them like crazy

Yeah you gotta be careful. I'm not paying upwards of 50 bucks for a stick. Sounds like your on the right track

I got mine at an aquarium supply store. They sell them in bulk & you pay per pound depending on what type of wood it is.
