Where can I adopt a rescue?

OK, so I know this is a really stupid question...but where can I adopt a rescue bearded dragon? I live on Long Island (New York) and I really want to help and rescue a bearded dragon that has a careless owner and is cared poorly but I don't know where I can adopt a rescue.

Craigslist has TONS of them!
I adopted my boy from a local reptile shop that takes in unwanted beardies and rehomes them I rescued my first beardie at a vet clinic I observe at, because he was supposed to be put to sleep later that day. Its so awesome that you want to rescue one!

Ok thanks. I can't find any on craigslist but I am going to look for places that rescue them and sell them.
