When to stop feeding bearded dragon daily

My bearded dragon eats so many dubias, I know that this is normal, but I want to know when I should stop feeding him as much as he wants in a 15 min period. Right now he is 3-4 months old

Their appetite decreases as they approach full growth. This is usually between about 12-18 months but it varies between dragons and it's a gradual change. You'll still want to offer salad every day but the bug meals can be reduced to every other day, then every third day or so until bugs are only about 20% or so of the overall diet.

I start when he is 12 months? or slowly decrease until 12 months?

You start when his growth slows and his appetite decreases. Usually somewhere between 12-18 months.

If you are a keeping a graph of his weight in grams and noting how many insects he's eating per meal, you'll notice he'll have periods of quick growth and will be especially greedy for the bugs while these growth spurts are underway over the next several months (for another 12 - 15 months).

Peppa and Toothless are nearly 11 months old and are still getting two live insect meals per day and if anything their appetite has increased in the last week or two with the return of the warmer weather (spring here now (Australia)) and I've also recently started allowing them on floor adventure / fun / social time now they are big enough to not slip under stuff (where they can visit each other (one out and about at a time)) so they are using more energy now.
Currently about 20 medium crickets each per day.

I plan on keeping them on two insect meals per day for another 6 months or so (unless I notice a strong tapering off in their growth rates) at which time I'll cut back to one live insect meal per day.

It's really up to the beardie, if he's still growing strongly, I'd be inclined to keep on the two insect meals per day schedule as he will still need lots of insect proteins and fats to grow and develop properly.
Others may differ with my opinion.

I agree, it's up to the dragon. It varies. They just generally slow down their growth between about 12-18 months. It's a relatively slow transition (months).
