Rose is an unknown age unsure gender (think female) hasent lost any wieght (gained some actually) 17inches long about and 565 grams (yes fat) still sleeps all day but is active and eats when i take her out, only hornworms though shes been a picky twit, since i got her in Feb- March sleeps all day in her cave or if i block it in hopes she will stay up longer on her basking spot cuddled with her elephant. how long is this going to last?

Tank 45gal breeders
cool side 78-80 deg
hot side 90-95 deg
basking 103-111 deg
new reptisun florescent bulb
humidity stays about 20-30
tile of bottom of tank
soak once or twice a week
lights on 13 hours a day (was 12 bumped it hoping to wake her)

Goodness knows. Some dragons run on a slightly weird biological clock.
Everyone here says it is spring - except for Mocha. She's just started her brumation!
If she's not losing weight and she is eating, then I wouldn't worry. Some dragons just like to sleep. What about getting a comfy bit of foam for near her basking lamp?

If she's truly brumating, she doesn't need any food at all. On a side note,it would be good for her to cut down on live feeders [ tough love in order ] to reduce her weight. She is quite a bit over, and with the obese dragons comes the real threat of fatty liver disease. So if you just offer big salads, even if she's not interested at first, just keep offering.Turnip, mustard, collard , yellow squash and dandelion are great staples. Don't use fruit, it's sugary and really not required . I'd cut the live food to once or twice a week, just a few at a time. Also, can you take her out to run around the house for a half hour or so every day ? She'll be a lot healthier + more active.

she has a blankie and a stuffed elephant on her basking spot. I take her out daily and she runs and hides and sleeps LOL but does explore for about 20 min before she starts looking for a hidey hole.I only offer live feeders a couple times a week, she turns her nose at salads, i use mustard greens kale and pick fresh dandelions with summer squash and acorn squash. I have left no food in her tank for 2 days and offered salad nothing but salad for a week and a half before i gave in and ordered hornworms. I only feed her a few a week and they arent full grown just an inch or so long (have baby water dragons who eat them too) currently she is back in her hole sleeping again, but is alert and active when pulled out for a short time, then back to sleep. Today i took her outside (she hates it) for some real sun.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
