Whats wrong with repti glo 10.0

I went to the store for reptisun 10.0 but I grabbed repti glo 10.0 by exo terra. Does anyone have any info on whether or not this brand is just as good? I really need real evidence ... there is just too much information out there and I never know what to trust.

I also bought zoo med basking spot lamp 150 watt for my 75 gallon tank and using an acu-rite digital thermometer from walmart I got the direct spot at basking spot to be 112 degrees ...

Hi there,

No I would return that bulb. They have been linked to various health problems in dragons. Just spend some time looking through the health/er sections of this site. The majority of times you will see a sick dragon living under a bulb such as the reptiglo.

It happens much too often for it to be coincidence.

k, its just strange the company is allowed to exist/sell those if they are so bad

I will return it since the negative comments are so numerous but I just want to understand what it is about them that makes them so bad. Blah anyway I am just so worried, trying to get everything ready and set up perfectly before I bring him home. So stressful!

Well remember, they aren't just selling their bulbs to bearded dragon owners, there are many pets out there who also need uvb.

The repti-glos might work for some reptiles, but they certainly are not safe for use with bearded dragons.
