What's under your tile?

What do you place under your tile? Or do you place your tile directly on the glass?

i have 2 layers of paper towels i replace on the regular

That's a really good idea. Sounds really easy to clean and keep up with.

I put my tile directly on the glass (gently). The edges rest on the sealant a bit so they have some cushion.

Mine's right on the glass as well (slate)

Right on the glass. Had to have him cut to fit in, the silicone sealant stopped them from sitting flush.

I have mine sitting on a single layer of paper towel.

Thanks everyone for responding. I was on debate if I should out directly on the glass or put them on a J-Cloth. I'm pretty sure we will place them directly on the glass for easier cleaning
