What type of tiles should I use as the substrate for the bottom of the tank? I just got the 75 gallon tank and I am ready to go to home depot to get the tiles butmy dad won't let me until I know what type I need to get......
HE'S HERE, HE'S HERE! We got the tiles set up and it figures I had enough to get all the stuff, AND HIM!!!!!! YAY! Pics soon (whenever my mom downloads the fricken software!!!)
Congratulations Kendyl, it's very exciting, isn't it? Perhaps you'd like to start a new thread in the Introductions forum when you want to tell us all about him/her and post some pics for us all to see.

YA ITS EXCITING!!!! But when I was putting him in his cage I couldn't help but imagine him shaking in my hand like Mushu did I havn't thought of a name yet, or downloaded the software needed to post pics or name him/her yet. He/She is about 6 months old, and now I see that Mushu wasn't nearly as big. *sigh* And I figured out the light I had for Mushu wasn't a UVB light Hard and exciting day..... OMG! My new beardie is trying to climb her tank wall
I know it's hard when you lose a precious beardie, I just went through that a few days ago. It does make you worry more.
Getting one at 6 mo old is a good age to start with as there aren't as many worries as when you get a little baby. If you want to post your setup for us, we would be more than happy to look it over to make sure everything is perfect. Sounds like your new beardie is quite active already.

I'll go over the set up later, I'm fighting the urge to break into a happy dance every second. And another good thing is that she/he already eats big crickets, wax worms, AND VEGGIES!!! I'm really happy, but still blocking off the BAD Mushu memories...
