Hey I was wondering what to feed my dragon, he is a little over a foot long. Ive tried crickets and worms. He loves crickets but i cant afford spending 11 cents per cricket at the pet store (any websites that are cheaper?, also how to keep them alive for a month?). The worms i have tried are the reptiworms (He only eats ones that move, are there any other worms that he can eat like meal worms that are about the same price?)

Any information helps

Thanks!

I have bought Crickets from here - http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/feeder-crickets-worms-rodents-roaches-and-more/crickets/, there might be better places ?? but this place includes shipping in cost and a 1000 work out to 3 cents a piece. I took a rubber made tub and cut sides and top out and used a hot glue gun to attach screen over the hole ( for good air supply) I switched over to reptiworms, for a bunch of reasons, I can leave them in her bowl when I leave for work, they dont carry parasites , I can keep them in a cooler at abouh 65 degs for over a month . Repiworms are $40 for a thousand and there are a few coupons you can use for 20% off .. one is FACEBOOK20, but there are others aswell. Once I put the worms in her glass dish after about 3 or 4 min they all start to move around. But Freddie still doesnt attack them like crickets. She goes to her bowl when she feels like it, and eats 20 or so at a time.

As for meal worms, I have read the can cause inpaction?
Freedie loves crickets, and she didnt eat many reptiworms/Phonixworms for the first week, now she eats 100 a day (7 months old)

Ikran is about that size and he gets a salad every morning of either turnip or collard greens, whatever other veggies I have available that is safe for him and between 10-20 medium dubia roaches. If at all possible I would advice against crickets. They are miserable stinky bugs, I could not keep 1000 alive for more than 2 weeks tops without significant die off and they smelled worse than you could imagine (as did Ikrans poos which aren't nearly so bad with the roaches).

Roaches are a bit more expensive but when they get started breeding then you never have to buy them again.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
