what do you feed your crickets before giving them to your dragon?

I saw a video where this guy had his crickets in a little cage and inside was an orange for them to feed off of. After they ate, he sprinkled calcium supplement on them and then fed them to his dragon.

Is that right?

What are other foods you can give crickets?

Or is just sprinkling calcium supplement ok?

Do you have to sprinkle calcium on them if you feed them?

I will be getting my dragon soon (possibly tomorrow) and I would like to hear from other dragon owners and what they do to keep their babies healthy!

I gutload my crickets with veggies (like left over greens that are starting to wilt), quick oats, and fish food flakes.

You can also use any type of bearded dragon pellets. Just put in a shallow lid[ like from a margarine tub] and add a little water.

You can feed them practiacally anything. Try feeding them some of the greens and veggies that your beardie eats. Some people choose to buy gutload from petstores that come in cubes or gel but you really don't need to. For extra protien you can use crushed cat or dog food. And you should also dust them with multi vitamin and calsium.
