What to clean Beardie with?

Hello,

My Beardie poops, then runs all over it and drags it around with his claws. When I hold em I don't want poop on my hands or shirt.

What can I safely use to quick bathe him in the sink before I hold him?

I see lots of opinion but no serious answers. There has got to be SOMETHING out there that will kill germs so that I don't have poop germs on my hands.

AND YES I always am washing him off and cleaning his cage. I have safe cleaners for his cage. But I want to know what to use for him when I want to play with him. I currently wash him with warm water.

Hello,

I agree, beardies can get quite messy sometimes! :| So I use for my beardies a Burt's bees all natural baby shampoo to clean them. It doesn't irritate them and doesn't have any terrible chemicals that would harm them.

and If you want to get rid of germs on his cage and supplies and disinfect things I would get some F10 cleaner and mix it with a tiny bit of water and spray the items you want to clean.

I Also use vinegar diluted with water and spray things to help get rid of germs and smell. Plus if your beardie licks any of the vinegar/water solution it won't hurt them.

But what I mainly do when they get poop on them or other dirty things I use the Burt's bees all natural baby shampoo then scrub them off with a old toothbrush that I don't use any more and then rinse them off with lukewarm water.

Also the poop germs you can get rid of just by washing your hands with hot water and soap.
