What size dubia can a 17" 260gram juvie eat, safely?

Hi,
Just wondering what the largest size dubias are OK for Razz to eat? Can he sometimes have an adult dubia or the largest nymphs if he chomps them up well?

Or...is he just too young as yet? 5 months and only about 260 grams and only 17" and I have read that they need to be adults themselves before eating large/adult dubias?

Hi,
I have a colony and it is in between sizes at the moment He eats the medium to large nymphs well. He just had a few this week and chomped them up very well before licking his chops and looking to me for more LOL.

So I thought he could handle an adult male now and then, but they don't look like they have much *meat* on them at all? The medium/large nymphs are much meatier looking to me :?

So, what size/weight should they be to eat an adult female or male?

I would give him the large nymphs, you can try an adult male, but I think the Adult females would still be way too big for him right now... He's a good size for his age though.. Post me a picture on this thread. I haven't seen him in forever!

I would feed him large nymphs. My male roaches wings and all are close to 2".

Sherri, I'm going to hijack here(as if that is unusual for me) But I think it's still kind of on topic...

How many medium or large nymphs should as adult be eating per day? And how many large males per day?
I feed Phoebe the 'surplus' males and Huff gets the medium to large nymphs.
