What size command hooks would I need for this light strip?

Hi everyone!

I have a 3 year old beardie and for a good portion of his life, his UVB bulb was situated on top of his tank (over the mesh) I recently rectified this by getting the custom hooks off beardeddragon.co to hang his hood inside the tank, but the hood was too heavy and the hooks broke.

I tried searching Walmart.com for the $9 one you guys have mentioned in the past but can't seem to find it.

You'll want something that is rated to handle the weight of the bulb and fixture (1.4lb) so I'd go with at least 2 small command hooks which are rated to 1lb each. I'd hold it up with as much as you can though. Overkill is good if the fixture has enough fittings for more hooks.

Thank you! I think what confuses me is how it'd be mounted. Like, do the command hooks need to be large enough that the "arms" of them cradle the entire depth of the light fixture? Or is there something on the back of the fixture to mount them on?

That has a lot to do with the fixture. The Zilla Slimline fixture has two holes in the back which are just large enough for the small command hooks to fit inside. That allows you to put them on the back wall and just hang the fixture from them so the light is facing downward.
