My little dragon has been keeping one of his eyes closed lately and I think it might be the MVB I have. So, I was thinking of switching to the reptisun bulb. I used to own a lot of fish tanks and getting the bulb size matched with the fixture can be a headache sometimes. Do I need to get a 24" one?
Is there a way I can test and see if his light is bothering him? Would replacing the MVB with a regular household bulb for a few days be OK? That way i can see if his eye opens up and he'll still get heat.

If you get a 24 inch fixture then you have to get a 24 inch light. I personally use regular light bulbs and have never had a problem. Changing the MVB you have now with a regular light bulb shouldnt be a problem for a couple days.
