What should I feed my beardie?

ok, so i have had a lot of trouble with feeding,
first of all, my mom does not prefer to drive me around to get crickets, but she still does
second, i dont have a lot of space to keep giant containers for storing crickets in order to breed them
and i want to find an alternate solution
i dont want to go towards roaches, because my mom will freak

my beardie has been suffering because i have not been able to give him 25 - 50 crickets a day and i think he is almost 8 months old and is only 14 inches - and i cannot take the fact that he is always hungry and i want him to grow and be healthy

i have been looking towards worms, but i dont know which kind is the best. i dont want my beardie to have impaction from too many exoskeletons

Hate to say it but roaches would be your best bet. Crickets give off pure ammonia in their poop and will make your whole house stink! Plus they are much harder to breed. I wouldn't do supers yet because your dragon make be too small. You could do phoenix or hornworms, but they are even more expensive than crickets. I also hate to say this but you need to suck it up and buy as many crickets as your dragon needs and just keep them in a container with food and water gel. By not providing your dragon with enough food, you are submitting him to slight animal cruelty. That would be like your mom not wanting to go to the grocery store even though you were starving and you were only limited to breakfast everyday. Would you be able to survive happily?! Probably not. You can either buy as many roaches for the amount of days in between when your mom will take you, or you can have her drive you everyday. sorry if this is coming off a little rude, but you can't post on here that you are knowingly underfeeding your dragon and expect people to be okay with it. Maybe you should find a better home for him and someone who can provide him the proper care he needs.

I completely understand and i am definitely going to look into the roaches idea, but for now im sticking to crickets.

well you can buy bulk online like 1000 crickets or 500. I agree with the 1st poster you are knowingly underfeeding and neglecting your bd by not giving him the amount of food he needs.If you are unable to take care of him put him up for adoption to someone who can take proper care for him. I know it is hard for you to understand but it might be for the best.
