What now?

About a shed ago, I noticed that some of the spikes on Zelda's head were refusing to come off, so I waited thinking they will fall off in another few days or so, but days turned to weeks. Now, (after another shed) the dead skin is layered! There's about 2 "spike-shells" layered on top of each other. Ive tried gently tugging, but I really dont wanna hurt Zelda... now, I dont even know if this is possible, but, can the spike(s) be growing weirdly inside the "shells"??
Please help, before another shed comes along!

Try a warm bath. If that doesn't work, shed assistant stuff is available at most pet stores.

Ok well, I gave her a bath today and gentky tugged on some and they came off.... heh easier than i thought!
Any waysss.... i just did that till she pulled away then i stopped.
