I've had Simon Since end of February, and he was about 7" long, which I am assuming he was about a month or two old. He has never gone a day without eating or basking, and he always eats 20-40 crickets a day (large crickets about 1" long or so) and he gets his Calcium and multivitamin powder, his mustard and collard greens. When I moved him to a new tank, because he just seemed unhappy in his 20G so I pumped him to a 36x18x18 and his basking temps got cooler because I only had a 100W and his temps were like 85-93 degrees in his basking area. After a week or so in his new tank he quit basking all together. I upgraded his basking light to a 150W and I have his basking temps at 103-112 depending where he lays. Now all he does is lay under his half-log and hides ALL day, he rarely eats, he's getting very temperamental, and doesn't like being held a whole lot and he was a straight up mama's boy. He made me sad today, the last time I gave him Mango he absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough of it, and today he ran from it! He didn't eat breakfast and he always runs when I shake the powder bag when I'm powdering his crickets, today he was just "meh" and ignored all of them. I read a post about coming of age (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=195297 ), but I think he is only 6-8 months old and I'm not too familiar with brumation. It's like 120 degrees here in phoenix, so I don't get why he would be doing that. Any insight would be helpful, the last poo smear I had done came back clean and uneventful. Should I take him and his poo to the vet just to make sure? He's being a real big buttface and I'd like to know what's up with him.
