I have noticed this little black spot on my beardies tail. It looks like one scale has turned black. Last night I tried scraping it kinda with my finder nail while he was in the bath, but you can't even feel it. Any ideas??? Maybe a scale that didn't shed????

Any input would be great... it's driving me nuts!

I dont know, but Waffle has one. I showed it to the vet and they were not concerned. He has had it for a while, with no changes. It doesnt seem to bother him any.
Hopefully that is the same thing with yours.

It doesn't seem to bother him... JUST ME!!! I always want to pick it off and you can't even feel it. Thanks for responding though, makes me feel better I'm not the only one...

Its a beauuuuuty mark!!!!! Lol! I haven't heard of those but it doesn't look like anything bad. Probably just a scale with improper pigmentation, does that make sense? lol.

One of our Leopard Geckos has one on his tail too, I have always said it's a "Gecko freckle"

Torque had a couple black scales like that and my last rescue had a really bright orange one on his head. Looked like someone took a marker to just one scale.

Nope! I feed in a separate container... not unless one bit him while in the tote???
