What is he?

Now I'm sure you guys get this a lot lol but I am curious on what he is, I went to petsmart and I got a bearded dragon but the only one that was there was a fancy but he didn't look fancy at all, but they let me get it for the sale price of 45 for normal beardies. But I am curious as to what makes him a fancy?

Hi Sandra....he is a leatherback at the very least. If he has all clear nails that would also make him a hypo.

Yes, a leatherback is a specific morph....that's why he was labeled as a " fancy" even though they are fairly common. He's nice + healthy looking, too.

He's definitely a leatherback. That just means that the scales on his back are smaller giving him a leathery feeling. He's not hypo though. Just a normal leatherback. He's a cutie though!

Thanks ! Yeah I don't mind. I'm not planning on breeding so it being a leatherback is good to me. And I think for 45 dollars its not bad. And luckily he's eating well now, he eats like 20 in 15 min plus veggies! It's crazy!
