Visited a Mom n Pop pet store which had close to 100/150 bearded dragons all over the place, numerous babies, juveniles, adults, and some pretty old ones. I don't think there was a single dragon that had not been disfigured by a loss of tail, claws, entire limbs, an eyeball, etc....
They appeared to be fed, they appeared to have heat, casual conversation with owners led me to believe they weren't fazed at all about the "fighting" that apparently was the reason behind these disfigurements.
I'm under the impression they're breeding them....possibly they're not being sold due to supply and demand....and their population has outgrown the store's space and ability to sell them. Then again many folks just aren't fazed by a dragon missing a limb apparently.
Does any particular "society" deal with potential abuse of reptiles ?
Any suggestions ???
PM is probably best as for all I know this forum is known to them.....
