What do you guys think of his condition?

Hey guys!

I'm curious about what you think of my beardies overall condition. I also read about fat pads today , wanna know if they're allright

Oh and whenever i give him mandarin his poop is orange and it seems it's a (kinda) undigested. The other foods are fine. Any idea why?

He is 2 years of age and a his color is probably florida orange (his breeder told me that is was the mos likley color)

My only concern is that he is gaping and hiding quite often. (he has been in this new vivarium for around 2 weeks i believe) so maybe it's that? The temps are good , not to hot. and he has 2 hiding spots. 1 on the hot side and 1 on the cool side and he lies in his cave on the hot side.

and he is also running around quite a bit when he is not basking , hiding or eating.
and i give him a bath once a week.

And he eats : crickets , (dried) mealworms and dubia's mostly as insects
and fruit is mostly : mandarin and apple
Greens mostly : lettuce , endive , chicory and dried flowers.

the viv is 120x60x60 and the lamps are : 1 solar raptor heat+UVB lamp and 1 exo terra daylight basking spot.

He looks pretty happy and healthy to me. He may just have trouble fully digesting oranges.

Hi. Does he open his mouth when he's basking? If so he's thermal regulating. Like a dog pants. As for fruit I heard citrus is not good for them. Here is a site that most of us go by beautiful dragons.com. He's a good looking boy Forgot to ask what kind of lights does he have? How are his temps and how do you take them?

Yeah he does it when he is basking indeed!! thanks for the reply

i have 1 solar raptor 70 watts lamp (heat + uvb)
and 1 exo terra daylight lamp 50 watts. (heat only)

I have a digital thermo and hygrometer! and atm his temp is 37 degrees celsius on the warm side on the cool side it's around 29 degrees celsius i believe. (last time i checked (last week) it was between 28 and 30 degrees celsius)

And i didn't know citrus fruit was bad for them. I'll check out the site thanks!
