What do you feed your dragon?

Hey Everyone, I am curious what you all feed your dragon on a daily basis. Like what ingredients do you put in your salad? What type of feeders and how often?

I think it would be interesting to see everyones different opinions and to see what works for you, so maybe other could get ideas from you.

I feed my babies endive and butternut squash every morning with a few butterworms. I also give them superworms (10 a wk), dubia (however many they will eat), and the odd cricket. As well as horn worms as treats.

I feed my little guy escarole, collard greens and the 3rd ingredient is always something different. The first 2 veggies change to something different everytime I run out, so he gets a bunch of different yummy stuff and I can see what he does and doesn't like

As for live feeders, he's eating about 30 crickets a day between 1-3 feedings. I tried feeding him butterworms, but he ate one and didn't want any more!

Every week it's something different from the Beautiful Dragons nutrition chart. I choose 1 - 2 staple greens plus 1 or 2 treats from the "occasionally" and/or "rarely" columns. I think the only things that he pretty much always has are cactus pad and papaya. He gets his salad in the morning and then in the afternoon or evening he'll get his "meat."

As for feeders, I use Dubia Roaches and Superworms as my staple. In addition to the staples I order one or two other types of worms every few months. Right now it's Silkworms.

can bd eat citrus?.. i was about to cut up an orange and my mom brought up a good point that citrus might not be good, because i know dogs aren't supposed to eat it.. and maybe it's too acidic for him?.. any ideas?

Nope, don't feed any citrus... try berries or apple occasionally as a treat. Nero loves raspberries

He gets a bowl of greens (collard, dandelion, turnip) and grated squash every day. His staple is superworms, but he's turned up his nose at them for two months now and also refuses butterworms. Silkworms were never a favorite and he quit eating crickets a long time ago. Hornworms are the only live feeder we know he'll eat. Not good for the wallet, alas. I want to try dubia, but I'd hate to have a dubia colony going if he's just going to refuse them. Oh, and babyfood - he always eats that. We only feed babyfood if we're in between worm shipments, though.

I have noticed a few of you mention baby food, what sort of baby food is this cos my boy eats little greens and is now refusing cricks only thing he goes for is meal worm so anything is worth trying to win him round again.

I love that website! I find that I dont use the endive fast enough and it goes bad then it is just a waste. No grocery store around me sells anything else that is "green" on that website. Very Frustrating.

I feed mine baby food buttersquash and he seems to like it.

Roaches for the staple ( yup Dubias...but I have a smattering of lobs and turks too..)
Collards.. got southern exposed dragons
Different squashes I find at the co-op, next year growing my own...
