What do I feed my BD when I am away?

I have an adult BD in my classroom and I am trying to figure out what food I can leave out for him over the weekend so that I don't have to come in on my days off. I figure Phoniex worms because I can put a good amount in his bowl and they won't crawl out. On the week days I give him fresh greens, but I am looking for ideas that won't go bad over the weekends. Any ideas?

I released a bagful of crickets in the enclosure before I left to visit my mom and brother for the weekend. Came home and there were two left.

Crickets are a really bad idea because if your dragon does'nt eat them they could start biting him overnight and that will be painfull and he wont be able to rest at night. I would go with worms. It's the safest way for your BD.

Realistically, if hes an adult then his live food is not so important to him.
In fact, if you gave him live food (such as worms/crickets) on Friday, he wont really need any more live food until Monday morning.

However fresh greens are very important to him and I cant think of any way to make greens stay fresh over the weekend!!

My phoenix worms ALWAYS crawl out. I find them all over his cage if he doesn't devour them immediately. I end up picking him up and pointing them out to him and he gobbles them.

Tip: Phoenix Worms will stay in any smooth shallow dish (or even a mayonnaise jar lid) if the worms are dry and the dish/lid is dry. Just pour out the worms you want to serve on a paper towel and allow the packing media to fall off while the worms dry for a couple of minutes. Then put the PWs in a dry dish. Moisture is what enables the worms to climb out.

I found this out when I tried to use water to clean them and then they started to "run" away!!! I quickly learned to keep them dry or they would run for the cracks in my tile. I do the same thing with my dubia, I put them in a dry ceramic dog dish with smooth sides and they can't get out either. I was wondering if there was a dry food that I could put in another bowl like bearded dragon bites or something. I wouldn't even know what brand to use. This is the only thing that I was having trouble figuring out.

teacher,

a lot of companies have beardie bites and they are pretty great for when you're away (not that i'm recommending that be all you feed but in case of emergency they're also great) .

i go to school 9-9 tuesdays and thursdays and on those days i feed nesta early morning and then leave the beardie bites in there all day for her to munch on.

i know there are a ton of different brands out there... a lot of people's beardie's won't eat them but nesta does pretty regularly (i leave a small bowl in the tank daily and i also use them for when i go away. i use repcal juvenile dragon food

monster diet beardie food is about the most complete nutrition out there followed by rep-cal BD pellets. Rep-cal is cheaper and easier to get your hands on w/e you live.

central iowa...i get a call when the petsmart gets there shipment in since they are sold out as soon as they get it in it seems. The petsmart website is a good place too if your able to purchase online. but ya, petsmart is the olny place i've found it i'm sure you can even find it cheaper somewhere else online.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
