Hi everyone, I'm Vicky, but please call me Mobcraft101 (or Mobcraft).
Earlier my sister, Enderess (or Emily) posted here saying that she would be getting a Bearded Dragon soon, and I too have taken interest in Beardies. I've been getting basic information from the replies her forum, so I don't have anything to worry about. I have however been told that they shed their skin, and she doesn't know what to do with it. So my question is this: what do I do with their shedded skin?
Kind of a random question considering I don't even have a Beardie yet, but I just felt like I needed to ask this (it's called curiosity, sweetie).
Thank you :)

I've actually been collecting the shed skin of each dragon and putting it in a clear ornament bulb to hang on the Xmas tree. Each dragon fills their own bulb as a keepsake

That is the best idea I have heard of as of yet. Thanks for posting that.

No problem! I actually thought it to be a little creepy, but now that I've lost Simon, it's nice to know I still have a keepsake to remember her by

Edited to add photo of it on the tree last Xmas. I didn't think to do this until after Simon already was over a year old.

That is a pretty cool idea! I will probably do something similar once I get my beardie!

I love the bulb idea! I'm rather sentimental and was so tempted to save Elle's first shed with me. I regret tossing it. Course she is growing (and in turn shedding) like a monster so if I want to in the future there's an idea.

Great idea....though if I did it my family would probably label me as officially insane

By all means, I feel super creepy stashing skin away during large sheds  But their sheds are so cool is what started it, especially when you get a full piece intact. After saving "cool pieces", I wanted a way to display them, and then the thought of making them into ornaments came off as sentimental rather than insane.
Plus side is I live alone, but my family knows about the ornaments regardless.

Especially when they have a good spike shed =)

I got an entire back shed from Simon in one whole piece, along with a lower jaw/chin and head spikes in one. Those are savers! and totally in the orb.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
