Hi I have a 2 year old bearded dragon and for breakfast today I was feeding him strawberries by hand, and when he went to get 1 he accidentally bit my finger. What should I do I washed my hands already, but I read online that they have a mild venom similar to a rattlesnakes, should I go to the doctor or will I be fine?
Thanks for the answers

Hi there....did it break the skin + cause bleeding ? Beardie bites can become infected like any animal bite, but they can not inject venom in to you. There was some article published that [ you may look up yourself ] mentioned something about vestigial venom glands [ basically non functioning or non existent ] But there is no record of beardies bite being venomous or producing a severe reaction other than what could be expected from any other pet. Just wash it + watch for infection, then if you see any swelling or have a lot of pain you might go to an E.R. or see a Dr.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
