What color?

Hello all. I just got my first dragon (yeah!). I did get him/her from a pet store (a local pet store that specializes in fish and reptiles and seems to take really good care of them), it is about 3 months old and was sold as a Citrus. I know its hard to tell adult colors from younglings, but any ideas for exactly what it'll look like when it gets older? (This whole not knowing the gender thing will drive me insane!)

If anyone has names ideas, I'm up for that too LOL

Colors change as they grow, so, there is no way to tell you what it will look like as it gets older.

Thanks! Yeah, I know that you can't tell for certain, but I didn't know if you could get any ideas. Right now it looks like a female (so, for the moment, I'm calling it her), but I've read that males can look like females until they get a little older, she's(?) only about 3 months. Thanks!

How big is he/she? u could post some pics like the ones in the link and we can try to help you out with sexing

with my first dragon I wasnt sure if he was a boy or girl, for a while hed look like a girl then hed look like a boy... he was about 10 inches long when i could finally tell what he was.

As for names, I always have a hard time with names....

here are some that we were thinking for my citrus dragon:

Garuda
Pineapple
Zelda
Gelus (Jealous)
~Or~
Thor XD

IDK let the personality come out and then name him if u have a problem with names

U could also name him Racer X since he has a white racing stripe on his head XD

Thanks...she definitely looks like a girl right now (she has the one bulge over her vent). She's 3 months and about 11 inches, according to the shop. I just don't know whether she is an immature male that looks like a girl or is a girl....I got tired of the it, so I'm calling her a girl and I'll change her name later if needed LOL

There you go!! She looks yellowish.. IDK Dragonite, my citrus baby, is very very yellow. Either way congrats on a beautiful baby!!!!

I like to choose unique names like my boy is called axle and i named my girl suede! U just need to think out side the box
