I have been looking into pet insurance on my 2 dogs and girlfriends rabbit, and started thinking, Has anyone had any experience with Exotic pet insurance on there beardie? And if anyone knows anything about it feel free to shed some light cause i tryed google, only UK sites seem to show up and everything seems to be very mixed up... ima call my vet tom to see if maybe they know anything but figured asking u guys wouldn't hurt

I think its worth it... I havent got mine sorted yet but am def looking into it - I spent £300 in the space of 5 days on my little guy (right before Christmas) and he has another £150 worth of tests again this weekend - I wish I had insured him sooner.

My vet actually gave me the info on this one http://www.exoticdirect.co.uk/ so I figure thats who im gonna go with!

Good luck

Its one of those things if you have it at the right time its great. I went for years with minimal vet bills just for routine checks and fecals.
then in 09 I spent 1000 in vet bills for 2 dragons that got ill.
timing is everything.

Yea i call VPI today because my vet recommended them, and it's $20.15 a month for 1 beardie and 1 rabbit ($12 for rabbit, $8 for beardie, plus i save 5% for signing both up at once) or $192 a year, and they cover 90% of any emergency including medication and even boarding if u get hospitalized for more then 48 hours, plus check-ups for a illness. they just don't cover vaccinations and some other stuff, i'll be getting a packet towards the end of the month because i can't sign up untill my rabbit is 3 months old so i'll give u guys all that info when i get it. but so far it sounds like a pretty good deal seeing as exotic vets are $$$, and the younger the animal when you sign up the less expensive it is to get.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
