What are good ways to entertain a beardie?

Reptar gets to spend a good portion of his day outside of his tank, but I start classes again in a few weeks so he will be losing some play time. Last year I gave him a ball to play with. It was a little plastic ball with a bell inside. He used to push it all over his tank, but over time he seems to have lost interest in it. Does anyone have any good ideas to help keep him entertained while I am out of the house?

My pet lizards all love watching TV.

You can rearrange the tank furnature every so often , that will give them "new" stuff to explore.

I've seen feeders that let crickets out one at a time , this would keep a beardie entertained as it would be able to smell and hear the crickets before any come out.

Crackly/rustly paper is a hit with Rex, she loves the sound of it.

Turn the stereo on?
If you have a large enclosure put a bunch of sticks and rocks to climb around on. I'm a bit of a naturalist and try to emulate wild conditions in a captive environment.

I agree with the branches to climb on. They like to climb and bask and then go have a nap in a hide most of the time. It's great that he gets time outside the tank when you're home though. I let my guy roam around the house when I'm home too and he likes to explore and sit in the window and watch outside.

I just place a large heating pad on the floor and "beardie proof" my room by closing the closet, covering the entrance to under my bed (usually with boxes or pillows) and cover up any unsafe areas for Big Boy. He loves to roam. From his lamps, my room is always 80° or over. He can sit on the heating pad if he gets cold. Just don't leave your beardie alone for too long. Every beardie I've had loves to explore my room. :blob8:

Floor time each day for a while, my bluetongues and beardies all love exploring the lounge, hall, dining, kitchen area, and they all love looking out the front window too when it's sunny there.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
