what about ceramic infrared heat emitters?

My temps arent what i want them to be, especially at night. if i wanted to get one of those infrared heat emitters, what wattage would I get for night time? unfortunately they only come in 60w, 100w and 150w, but it's for at night. i dont know if the strengths between a regular 60w night bulb and a 60w infrared heat emitter are the same. that and the ceramic one is MUCH more expensive than a regular, but are they really worth what I'd be paying for it and are they good for my beardie? what to do, what to do. help would be lovely =)

Well, how big is the enclosure you are using? Wattage really depends on the size of the enclosure. For my baby he is in a 30gallon tank and at night I use a 75WATT Night Glow bulb, he loves it..it keeps him warm and he sleeps on his hammock.

it's a 40g tank. im using right now a 150w sunglo during the day and its just perfect but at night when her sunglo shuts off along with my thermostat lol, it gets to be about 69 in the room where her tank is.

69 is fine! Only if it drops below 63 should you be concerned. Now, if you are still concerned, Just go to your local petshop and get a Night Glo, 60-75 Watt, They cost around $8. You don't really need much more heat since it's 69 at night, It's fine.

If the temps are already at 69, there is no need to worry.
