I cam home from work yesterday to quite a messy beardie... From a few feet away it almost looked like he had fallen asleep in her salad bowl at some point throughout the day, and was now running around with dandelion leaves stuck to her.
As I got closer, I noticed that all of her walls, glass front, and 80% of the tile substrate was absolutely covered in poop! And Iggy was basking, head high with all 4 feet black all the way up to her elbows, tummy and tail were totally caked on... And she had the nerve to give me the stink eye as I sat there wondering how I was going to clean this! I swear it was like leaving a child with finger paint loose in your house, only to come back to a "Look what I did!"
After 45 min of my wife and I taking turns bathing with a soft toothbrush, and enclosue cleaning... we still wern't able to clean her off properly. And I suspect her skin will be a little discoloured until her next shed.
She's in perfect health so no worries there...
Moral of this story: No matter how much your beardie likes WAX WORMS, Don't feed them as a staple for 2 days in a row! (Ran out of crix)
