Either hints and tips on how to move and house him or even to take him from us for a bit.

Trouble is we can't get a house set-up until we actually get there, military related stuff. We're gonna be living in a temporary housing place until we get our house. Besides that it'll be impossible for us to move his cage with us as we're having the AF pack and move our stuff for us and our cage is too big for our car.

If we could get someone from around the area to keep him for us for a bit (no later than a month) we would be eternally grateful and of course we would pay for food and stuff. That would be the easiest thing I think but if anyone has any other advice that would be great. Thank you all!

First off, thanks for your service to our country, it's not easy being in the military. Working where I do, I see a lot of stories relating to moves and sometimes very suddenly.

Anyway, I wish I could take him for you for a while, but I'm way to far away from OKC. I live near Ft. Huachuca, AZ and if you get sent there, just let me know and I would be glad to help out.

We have traveled with our dragon and keep him in a 20 gallon aquarium when we do. It's not optimal, but Spike does just fine with it. When he is in the aquarium while driving, we remove everything except for paper towels on the bottom so that nothing rolls around and hurts him. Much of the time he sits with one of the kids and enjoys the ride. When we get to our destination we immediatly put his basking log in the aquarium and hook up his heat lamp and uvb and let him bask for as long as possible until lights out.

While this set up is not optimal it will allow you to travel with your dragon and he will be just fine with these accomodations for the length of the car trip to your new home.

And as said by the other poster, thank you for serving our great nation!

Happy Giving Thanks!

Oklahoma City OKlahoma, Bubba. Thank you all for your...thanks. It does not go unnoticed. :)

Augs, we'd have to have something for him for quite a bit longer than that. Whatever he'd be living in, if he stayed with us during the move process, there's a good chance that he'll be living in it for close to a month, at least 2 weeks. Granted he's in brumation, we think, right now anyway so he's not moving around much. But he has hookworms so we're having to feed him chicken baby food until he gets through it. Besides that, Oklahoma City is a good 24 hour drive from us. If we did have him in something small like that we could always take him out and let him run around the TLF for exercise I guess.

I live near Memphis, that's over half the distance!!! I'd be happy to take care of him till ya'll get settled. We have two BD's.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
