After my last beardie died, i thought it was me, luckily it was atadenovirus. So I decided to go on another adventure with a new bearded dragon. This one is amazingly healthy. Probably poops more times than I can count tho, lol.
Anyways, I've had her for about a month now, and today she finally let me hold her... After a month... She was still a little skiddish at first, but I think she finally realized I'm not gonna hurt her and she started loving on me, so we got a bath and a good cage clean for her. And she was extra active afterwards, it was funny. She would jump from her basking spot to the ground, run up another branch, and hang out up there for a few minutes and then would run back over to her basking spot for a few minutes, I think she is happy now.
Well, during the bath since this is the first time she let me hold her I was able to sex her finally, and it's a female, so after a lot of thinking I decided to name her Maya, like the old civilization. Been pretty fun so far, look forward to sharing some more. And I hope you all are enjoy your beardies just as much as I am enjoying mine!
