Since the day I brought her home my little 6 month old boy has been going crazy and won't settle down. I don't know how he knows she is here because I have been very careful not to let them see each other, but he knows! What he doesn't know though is the girl I brought home is his mother. I'm keeping her over the holidays and she's been a wonderful guest. Although she is about 3 years old she hasn't shown any signs of brumation at all. She's eating really well and basking and doing everything she's supposed to do. She's even gained some weight for me. But, my little male monster has simply gone crazy. All he wants to do is escape and find the female. It's got to be just that. He's still eating just enough to maintain his weight, eating a bite or two of his salad and a bug or two here and there but for all other purposes, there is something bigger and better in the house he wants to get at. So, even though he is not mature it seems he is having some hormonal issues and this leaves me wondering how do they communicate? Anybody know? I want to know just how does he know she's here like can they smell each other or what? It's been very interesting, almost like an experiment if you will and it'll be interesting to see what he does when she is gone. Anybody else experience this before?
